Maintenance tips: Vacuum the carpet weekly without rubbing. Do not use a hard brush. Do not pull out the excess thread, but cut it with scissors. Act immediately if stains appear. Remove the stain with absorbent paper and then use a sponge or a clean cloth slightly dampened with water and a little neutral pH soap. You can also sprinkle Sommières soil, which has a good stain remover, and let it work before vacuuming.
